"Was great to not have cranky kids sitting in car whilst we check in at reception. The cottage was light, airy and spacious and didn't smell all stuffy and dusty when we opened the door (as we've found in other cottages at Raffertys). First time we've had a unit with stairs from the balcony - perfect. Loved waking to the sounds of birds, fishing, swimming, playing tennis and having lunch and a drink by the pool. Was also nice not to here the kids say I'm bored once. Next time we'll will try to get this particular unit." "Great spot for a weekend away. Loved the terrace and the view out over the lake, .... the sunsets were beautiful. We used the heated pool and tennis courts We enjoyed having our own facilities to cook breakfast but enjoyed take aways from the resorts restaurants in the evening giving 'Mum a bit of a break'" "We have stayed at Raffertys Resort previously - booked through and managed by Lakeshores, so there are a number of things we like: - the proximity to and views of the lake from this unit, the peaceful nature of the surroundings and the walk way along the lakeshore; - the relaxing ambience of the resort; - this unit's light/airy nature and its modern decor - it has a cosy feel too. - the variety of bird life and waking up to the different bird songs; - being able to book in online - the booking process, including payment etc, is easy to follow and manage. Getting almost immediate email confirmation is good. - the promptness of Lakeshores response to any queries, requests, problems - nothing is too much trouble" "Sitting on the balcony in the late afternoon with a bottle of wine and some various cheeses, watching the native birds in the trees just a few metres away was pretty hard to take. The apartment was very well appointed and presented and, at this time of the year, the Resort was quiet and we felt as if we almost had the place to ourselves. All in all, a great break and we'll be back"
"Thanks for the opportunity to give a review. Both villas were very well presented and equipped. The loft area was ideal for the children especially when it rained. They spent time reading , TV and games. The adults were nearby below and yet not disturbed. We made the most of the resort facilities and walked along the lakes foreshore. For a big family gathering the venues rated 8 out of 10 We hope to return sometime in the near future" "The villa was spacious and very well equipped. The grounds at the resort are very well maintained and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The organization of the collection of the key etc was very convenient. We had a great time and hope to be back" "We had friends staying at the Resort at the same time and, I must say, our accommodation was far superior with the big flat screen TV and a second one up in the loft area so the kids could watch their own shows without bothering us too much. Being straight accross from the heated pool was also a big plus. The handle fell off the second shower recess while we were there but Lakeshores were very obliging and were there to fix it within an hour." "Great spot for a weekend away.
